Now, let's dive into 3 of my list-building and sales funnels where I incorporate videos...
#1 List-Building Funnel: Video Marketing Made Easy
The first funnel we'll explore is my list-building funnel with the workshop I've already been talking about ... My Video Marketing Made Easy funnel!
(We're going for a list-building inception moment here. I'm building my email list full of badass entrepreneurs WHILE teaching those same badass entrepreneurs - YOU - how to use video in your own list-building funnels!)
I use two videos in this list-building funnel. An explainer video on my opt-in page and a next-step video on my thank-you page.
It's a simple, quick, and POWERFUL way to make a great first impression with your email subscribers while letting them get to know YOU!
Video #1: Explainer Video
As I've already said, including videos on landing pages can boost conversion rates by up to 86%.
Side note: The conversion rate of an opt-in page is the percentage of people who visited your page divided by the number of people who signed up. If 100 people visit your opt-in page and 25 of those people sign up, your conversion rate would be 25%.
By including video on your opt-in page you,
- Build know-like-trust with the visitor on your page
- Get to tell a story or case study to ground what your sales page says in a way that is relatable to the visitor
- Puts your personality, vibe, and brilliance front and centre so people can decide if they want more
- Create a wow-factor experience
Video #2: Next Steps
Including video in your list-building funnel doesn't end there! Keep the good vibes going and include one on your thank-you page too.
By including video on your thank-you page you,
- Continue the wow-factor experience for your new subscriber or customer
- Can let them know the next steps you want them to take
- Have the opportunity to direct them to follow you on social media, follow you on YouTube or your podcast, or share what they just signed up for with their besties
#2 Community Building Funnel
The next funnel we're going to look at is my Community Building Funnel for our Monthly Coworking and Content Batching Sessions!
I host virtual Coworking & Content Batching Sessions on Zoom every month for my entrepreneurial community.
Tackle You To-do List on the 1st Thursday of the month
Content Batching on the 1st Saturday of the month
It's a fabulous way to spend time getting MY OWN work done while getting to know folks in the community.
It's also a great way for members to network with each other and share the exciting work they are working on that month.
Side note: These sessions are powerful for ADHD entrepreneurs, and anyone who's overwhelmed or feeling isolated. By using Body Doubling and the Pomodoro Technique we get SO MUCH work done in a positive and supportive environment.
Step #1: Entrepreneurs hop on my email list so they can access the coworking sessions.
Step #2: New subscribers are prompted to save their seats for the upcoming sessions.
I ALWAYS set up a Calendly integration with my online events as it...
- Puts the event directly in attendees' calendars so they don't forget to show up
- Gather important information I may need like questions or details I'll want to know before we go live
- Lets me send customized confirmation and reminder emails where I can share links for other Calls to Action I want attendees to take
- Allows me to send attendees to a custom thank you page
Calendly integrations are a fantastic way to automate a lot of your busy work while also increasing the number of registrants who actually show up to your events!
Step 3: Thank You Page with Get Ish Done Club
Finally, once folks have saved their seat for the next coworking or content-batching session they are redirected to a thank you page with a video talking about my monthly membership, the Get Ish Done Club!
The Get Ish Done Club is where I direct all new entrepreneurs who want to work with me and learn my digital marketing and consent-based sales strategies for faster growth with less work!
I'm not expecting people to immediately sign up for the membership at this point ... BUT ... I'm definitely putting the bug in their ear that the club exists and to check it out.
(I have an entirely different sales funnel for the Get Ish Done Club but heck, I'm still going to take this opportunity to let folks know it exists and it might be exactly what they're looking for!)
When you're building out your funnels you ALWAYS want to think about what you want folks to do (or know) when they get to the end of your opt-in process.
This simple funnel incorporates some sweet automation tools and a strategic flow that helps ensure community members show up to the event, learn more about my program, and get excited for being part of the community!
#3 Sales Funnel: Work with Me
This is the sales funnel I use for entrepreneurs who want to work with me privately.
Step 1: Prospective Clients Click the Apply Now button on my website (or I send them the link directly)
My one-on-one packages are for entrepreneurs who are more established in their business and have the budget, business foundations, and capacity to evolve into the next stage of their business vision.
The purpose of this funnel is to build know, like, and trust with my prospective clients while also gathering more information on their business and what they want to create.
It helps speed up rapport and relationship building so that prospective clients already feel like they know me and how I work before we meet.
It also helps me understand their needs and get a feel for their vibe to determine if I want to work with them.
Remember ... you get to CHOOSE who you work with.
My philosophy is to only work with people who are creating something that energizes and excites me ... and who I'd love to have dinner and deep conversation with!
Step 2: The Apply Now button opens up a Google Form for them to complete.
This form is intentionally long and comprehensive.
I want to work with people who take it seriously and fill it out completely.
This form also tells me a LOT about their stage of business development by the way they answer the questions. I'm able to tell their basic level of understanding of business and how well they understand their own business in their answers.
This gives me a lot of insight into how well (and how quickly) we'll work together.
Step 3: They book a meeting!
After prospective clients fill out the form they are prompted to book a Zoom meeting so we can talk about their needs and my packages.
Again, I'm using a Calendly integration to streamline and automate this process.
No back-and-forth emailing trying to understand their needs or set up an appointment to meet that works for both of us.
(Who has time for that?!)

Step 4: Next-steps Video
Once prospective clients book their call on Calendly, they get sent to a custom thank you page with a video from me!
I introduce myself and tell them a bit about my background and business philosophies. I also let them know what to expect in our meeting and give them a bit of prep work to do before we meet.
Again, this goes a LONG WAY in building know-list-trust and setting the tone of what to expect in working with me.
It also has serious WOW FACTOR!

Step 5: Sales Call Email Sequence with Video
The final step in my sales funnel is to prep prospective clients for our sales call with a 3-email sequence including video and worksheets for them to complete and bring to our meeting.
